Este año, el Festival Ascenso<span style=”font-size:12.0pt”> rendirá homenaje al Proyecto Cumbre, pionero de las expediciones a las grandes montañas del mundo, y contará con la participación del venezolano Raúl Biocchi, quien recientemente ascendió al Everest llevando nuevamente el tricolor nacional a la cima del mundo. En la edición de este año, que cuenta con el apoyo e impulso de Bancamiga, se rendirá homenaje al Proyecto Cumbre, pionero de las expediciones a las grandes montañas del mundo.

Después de meses de esfuerzo en su preparación, se inicia uno de los festivales de cine con mayor trayectoria en Venezuela. El Festival Ascenso<span style=”font-size:12.0pt”> arriba a su décimo octava edición para seguir contando historias que promueven experiencias y aventuras vividas en medio de la naturaleza, y para dar a conocer los más recientes retos de los venezolanos.

Con el apoyo y el impulso entusiasta que durante los últimos años ha ofrecido Bancamiga, el Festival se realizará desde este 19 de octubre en el Centro Cultural Chacao. De acuerdo con su director, Orlando Corona, será un espacio para también contribuir con este desafiante futuro que “tenemos por delante, acercándonos a través de experiencias significativas que tienen que ver con lo que nos gusta y apasiona, ahora con más conciencia del valor que tiene el medio ambiente para el mundo".

En esta ocasión mantendrá la presentación de sus acostumbradas categorías tierra, agua, aire, ambiente y conciencia social, en proyecciones audiovisuales. También está la participación de fotógrafos, con imágenes expuestas en los espacios abiertos del Centro, y volverá la exitosa Expo Ascenso para promover la cultura de la aventura, viajes y turismo en Venezuela.

Corona indicó que, a 18 años de su primera edición, muchas han sido las historias compartidas desde la comunidad de aventureros, deportistas y amantes de la naturaleza, y disfrutada por un amplio público de todas las edades, en numerosos eventos que han promovido a la cultura audiovisual como herramienta para difundir experiencias y aprendizajes en la relación entre el hombre y la naturaleza.
